Paslode was founded in 1935 by JW Leslie.
The brand name is an acronym for Packing, Shipping, Loading, and Devices.
Paslode created the first stapling hammer in 1940, showcasing their commitment to innovation.
The brand focuses on roofing and carpentry, with nail guns designed for speed and efficiency in any job.
In addition to the stapling hammer, they also developed the first Pneumatic Nail Gun in 1959, followed by the first cordless framing nailer and cordless finish nailer in subsequent years.
Paslode was acquired by ITW (Illinois Tool Works) in 1986, but the brand continues to operate under the Paslode name.
Paslode is one of seven companies within the ITW North American residential businesses.
