In 1969, Wyn Lees and Alan Shaw teamed up to establish a Plant Spares and Engineering business. A discussion with a friend who repaired contractors' machinery inspired Wyn, who was already working with plant spares and managing the stores at Reliant Plant in Walsall Wood. Alan, a development engineer at Tube Investments near Aldridge Airport, brought valuable expertise to the partnership. Together, they possessed the skills and knowledge necessary to launch what would become L&S!
