The Thwaites Dumper || Manuals
We've dug into our archives and found several vintage Thwaites Dumper manuals. These scanned manuals include spare parts lists and even some manufacturers' warranties. Click on the images to explore them.
Thwaites is known for producing high-quality dumpers. Founded in 1937 by Basil Thwaites as an Agricultural Engineering Company, the first Thwaites dumper was manufactured in 1951. This three-wheeled machine was powered by a 6hp single-cylinder Petter engine and had a 10 CU Ft capacity. It was soon followed by a four-wheeled dumper, famously named "The Standard."
In 1954, the company became Thwaites Engineering Ltd, focusing solely on dumpers. Built to last, many Thwaites dumpers are still in use today, proving their durability. Known for quality, Thwaites used reliable Petter engines until the 1970s and 80s, when they switched to Perkins engines.
Wyn discovered a selection of manuals for models like the Thwaites Jumbo dumper and the Orion. Click on the images to read the full manuals and learn more about these machines.
