Can a clogged or old muffler keep the engine from proper acceleration? I've replaced the air filter and gas filter, cleaned the spark plug, and readjusted the carburetor to factory specs, and still the engine bogs when it tries to reach high speed.

A clogged muffler could cause the saw to run lumpy.
