I have a Stihl MS192T. Looking at the Motor Housing Assembly diagram. My problem is that the nylon thread that the collar screw (Part 3) screws is damaged to the point that the collar screw no longer 'bites'. Is my only option to buy a new engine housing or is there something else I can do?

You would have to buy a new housing unfortunately.
