Quick Hitches & Dummy Pins

A quick hitch, also known as a quick coupler or quick attach, is a mechanical device that allows rapid attachment and removal of tools from a machine’s boom or arm. It enables operators to switch between attachments such as buckets, rippers, and hammers without manually fitting pins and bolts.

Quick hitches typically consist of two main components: the hitch mounted on the machine and the attachment bracket fitted to the tool. The hitch includes a locking mechanism that securely holds the attachment, while the bracket is designed to engage quickly and safely with the hitch.

Dummy pins are non-functional pins used when an attachment is not fitted. They act as placeholders to keep the quick hitch aligned and help maintain stability when the machine is operating without an attachment.
