Terms and Conditions

Effective for all online and offline purchases from L&S Engineers Ltd

1. General

   These Terms and Conditions govern all sales of goods by L&S Engineers Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Company”) to any customer (“you”, “your”, “the Customer”), whether made via our website, in-store, by telephone, email, or any other means. By placing an order, you accept these terms in full. Any other terms are excluded unless agreed in writing.

2. Prices

   All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be applied at the prevailing rate at the time of invoicing. Prices may change without notice due to market fluctuations or supplier pricing, but we will make every effort to honour quoted prices where possible. Goods will be invoiced at the price current at the date of dispatch.

3. Descriptions

   All product information, images, specifications and descriptions are approximate and intended for general guidance only. They do not form part of the contract. We are not liable for any differences unless specifically stated in writing as a condition of sale.

4. Discrepancies

   You must report any discrepancies in goods or invoicing within 7 days of receipt. Failure to notify us within this period means we may be unable to accept liability.

5. Payment

   For approved account holders, payment terms are strictly by the 28th of the month following the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Interest will be charged on overdue balances at 1.5% per month above the base rate of HSBC Bank, accruing daily.

   We reserve the right to withhold supply or suspend services if payments are not received by the due date.

6. Delivery

   Free delivery may be offered on UK orders over a certain value (ex. VAT), at our discretion. Orders below this threshold, or requiring special delivery instructions, may incur additional charges. All deliveries are made at the customer’s risk. Goods delivered to third parties at your request remain your responsibility.

   We aim to dispatch goods promptly but cannot guarantee delivery dates and accept no liability for delays or non-delivery.

7. Returns

   Returns must be authorised and meet the following conditions:

   • Damaged or Faulty Items: Must be reported within 3 days of receipt and retained with original packaging for inspection.
   • Defective Goods: Accepted for return within 28 days of delivery for refund or replacement.
   • Incorrect Items Supplied: Must be reported within 7 days; we will arrange replacement or refund.
   • Unwanted (Non-defective) Goods: May be returned within 14 days, subject to condition and restocking fee if applicable. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

   Goods refused or returned without prior agreement may incur return shipping charges.

8. Warranty

   We pass on any manufacturer warranty applicable to goods supplied. Our liability for faulty goods is limited to repair, replacement, or refund (at our discretion) and does not extend to consequential loss. Warranty is void if goods are modified, misused, or not maintained as specified.

9. Risk and Title

   Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. Title (ownership) remains with the Company until all amounts owed by you are paid in full, including any overdue balances for previous orders. We reserve the right to enter your premises to recover unpaid goods.

10. Consequential Loss

    We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of profit, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the supply or failure to supply goods.

11. Intellectual Property

    All intellectual property rights in our product listings, imagery, design, content, trademarks, and materials remain the property of L&S Engineers Ltd or our licensors. You may not use, reproduce or distribute any content without our written consent.

12. Website Orders

    Submitting an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when goods are dispatched. We reserve the right to cancel or amend any order before dispatch in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraudulent activity. If we cancel your order, we will issue a full refund.

13. Force Majeure

    We shall not be liable for delay or failure in fulfilling any obligation under these Terms if caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, industrial disputes, supply chain issues, or governmental restrictions.

14. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
