Overview:
The T42 Retaining Compound is a genuine Lockfast medium‐strength, blue anaerobic threadlocker supplied in a 10 ml bottle. Formulated to replace Loctite 242, it secures nuts, bolts, and studs against loosening from vibration and shock while helping to seal threads against moisture and corrosion. With a viscosity of 900-1400 mPa·s (cP), it provides reliable coverage and gap filling on a wide range of metal fasteners, including less‐active substrates such as stainless steel and plated parts. T42 is suitable for routine maintenance and assembly on construction and garden machinery where parts need to be service‐removable with normal hand tools. Use it on engines, frames, housings, and accessories to maintain fastener integrity and reduce downtime across workshops and site equipment.
