Overview:
T71 (Replaces Loctite 271) Retaining Compound is a genuine Lockfast red, high‐strength threadlocker supplied in a 50 ml bottle. It is a low‐viscosity anaerobic adhesive designed to permanently secure and seal large threaded studs and bolts, typically over M25, in demanding service. With a viscosity of 400-600 mPa·s (cP), it flows cleanly into thread roots during assembly to maximise surface contact and joint integrity. The compound operates reliably from -54°C to 150°C and is UV positive to aid inspection under UV light, helping confirm coverage on critical fasteners. T71 is well suited to construction and garden machinery, including heavy plant, compactors, and professional lawn and grounds equipment, where vibration, shock, and high loads demand dependable, long‐term retention.

Typical Applications:

Use on clean, dry, oil‐free metal threads during assembly to improve joint reliability and reduce rework in harsh operating environments.
