Overview:
The Sealey Threaded Insert (Rivet Nut) M5 Splined, Part No. TISM5, is a blind fastener used to create a strong internal M5 thread in thin sheet materials where tapping is not possible and rear access is limited. Each insert has a splined (knurled) body and a flanged head to resist rotation and spread the load on the surface. Made from zinc‐plated metal for improved corrosion resistance, it provides a durable, reusable thread for bolts and machine screws. Fitted using a suitable rivet nut tool with an M5 mandrel, it is widely used on vehicle bodywork, machinery panels, metal enclosures, and general fabrication.
