What is a fire safety stick?
Fire safety sticks are portable fire extinguishing devices. They are compact and easy to use, making them a practical alternative to traditional fire extinguishers. Keep them handy in offices, workshops, and similar environments. It's better to be prepared for a fire than to regret not being ready.
How they work?
To operate the Fire Safety Stick, strike the activator and aim the nozzle at the base of the flames. This will smother the fire and extinguish the flames. It's straightforward to use. Always monitor the area after extinguishing the fire for any signs of re-ignition or hot spots. If the fire persists or reignites, take further action, which may include using another Fire Safety Stick or evacuating and contacting emergency services.
The Benefits
Using a fire safety stick offers several advantages over conventional fire extinguishers. They are smaller and lighter, making them easier to transport and use. Despite their size, these sticks are effective on all fire classes and have a longer duration for extinguishing fires.
Other benefits include:
- No damaging mess or residue left behind
- No servicing, refilling, or maintenance required—single-use only
- 15-year shelf life
- CE Certified, meeting EU health, safety, and environmental standards
- Environmentally friendly
Conventional fire extinguishers have limitations; for example, water extinguishers are only suitable for Class A fires. The Fire Safety Stick eliminates these complications, as it is suitable for ALL fire types, making it a superior choice.
The extinguishing agents in Fire Safety Sticks are typically non-toxic and environmentally friendly, reducing harm to both people and the environment. Their compact size of only 60cm makes them easy to store.
There are two variants of the fire safety stick: the 50 second version and the 100 second version, indicating how long each lasts.
Remember, all fire extinguishers, including these, are designed for early-stage fires and to assist with escape. If a fire becomes too large, prioritise safety and evacuate the building. Do NOT attempt to fight the fire.
