Towing

When choosing towing equipment and replacement towing parts, check the vehicle and trailer specifications as well as the size, mounting arrangement and rated capacity of each component. The tow ball, trailer coupling and hitch must be compatible and suitable for the trailer’s loaded weight and intended use.

Before every journey, check that the coupling is fully engaged, the jockey wheel is secured and all safety connections are correctly fitted. Inspect breakaway cables and secondary coupling cables for wear or damage, and use suitable towing mirrors where additional rearward visibility is required.
