Today we're going to change the Air Filter on a Yanmar L100N Engine. First, by hand, unscrew the wing nut which holds the air filter cover in place. Once that's done you can now remove the air filter from the machine. However, when completing this task it's good practice to check the gasket which sits behind it. To do this you need to remove the complete casing. Using a 10mm spanner remove the bolts which hold the casing in place. You can now remove the complete casing along with the gasket. For a good seal you should replace the gasket. Now seat the gasket correctly and push it onto the machine. Once that's done you can place the casing back on, ensuring it's the correct way around. Secure the four bolts back into place using the spanner. Ensure they're tight, so there's no movement on the housing. Check the air filter for any damage or wear, it's important this component remains clean. Replace the air filter if necessary. To fix the air filter back in, simply push and slide it on the metal spigot. Finally place the cover back over the air filter, and fix on with the wing nut. That's how you change an Air Filter on a L100N.
