How to Find Your Serial Number on OREC Machines
What is a Serial Number?
A serial number is a unique identification code given to each machine by the manufacturer. It allows precise tracking of the individual unit and is essential for warranty claims, inventory control and parts ordering.
Where to Find OREC Serial Numbers
The location of the serial number on OREC machines varies depending on the type of equipment. Below are the most common locations to check.
Flail Mowers
- Located on the lower chassis section beneath the engine
- Can be found on either the left-hand or right-hand side
- Typically fixed to the metal frame on a small plate or label
Rabbit Mowers
- Located on the frame beneath the seat
- Positioned on the main chassis section
Walk-Behind Mowers
- Typically positioned near where the handle joins the chassis
- Mounted directly onto the main body of the machine
Where Else Can You Find Your OREC Serial Number?
If you’re unable to locate the serial number on the machine itself, there are a couple of other places you may be able to find it.
- Instruction manual – Some manuals include a section where the serial number may be written in at the time of purchase. This depends on the supplier, so it may not always be filled in
- Parts diagrams – In some cases, the serial number may be referenced when using parts diagrams
Keep in mind that these sources are not always guaranteed, so checking the machine itself is usually the most reliable option.
