Replacing the Belt on a Belle PCLX 320 Plate Compactor
If your engine will not start and the unit will not vibrate, this could be that the drive belt tension is loose and therefore the belt needs to be adjusted. Over time without regular maintenance, general wear and tear can cause the belt on a Belle PCLX 320 Plate Compactor to stretch or potentially break.
Here is an example of how to replace the belt on a Belle PCLX 320 Plate Compactor:
1 - Remove the cover by unscrewing the 4 bolts and washers using a 10mm socket and ratchet. You now have access to the belt.
2 - Slowly ease the belt from the clutch and pulley using a 13mm socket and a large flat screwdriver.
3 - Get your new belt and place it around the pulley. Using the ratchet, feed this back onto the clutch.
4 - Place the cover back on and secure with the washers and bolts.
