In this video, we show you how to change the Vibration Unit or Exciter on a Belle PCLX 320 Plate Compactor

Today we're going to change the vibrator unit on a Belle PCLX 320 Plate Compactor. Firstly, remove the cover by unscrewing the 4 bolts and washers using a 10mm socket. Then, remove the belt from the pulley and the clutch safely. Now, detach the bedplate by unscrewing the 4 bolts and washers using a 15mm socket. You will now need to release the exciter. To do this you will need to unfasten the 6 bolts using a 22mm socket. Remove the exciter. Place the new exciter back. A new exciter already contains oil, so this will not be needed. To secure the bolts back tightly, you will need to apply nut lock to each bolt. Place the bolt/s back and tighten loosely. Then secure with a 22mm socket, the fixture time of this nut lock is 5-8 mins. Reattach the bedplate and secure with the 4 bolts. Place the belt back into position. Return the cover back on and secure with the bolts That's how you change the vibrator unit on a Belle PCLX 320 Plate Compactor.
