Description
Overview:
The HSS Blacksmith Drill is a heavy-duty twist drill for clean, accurate holes in metal and plastics. With a 14.0 mm cutting diameter and 160 mm overall length, it is made from high-speed steel for strength and hot-hardness, and finished with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating to improve wear resistance and reduce friction. A reduced 12.5 mm shank with three flats gives a secure grip in standard 13 mm chucks, helping to prevent spinning under load. Suitable for use in corded and cordless hand drills as well as drill presses/pillar drills. Effective on alloy steel, cast iron, and non‐ferrous metals such as aluminium and brass, as well as many engineering plastics.
