Wider webbing spreads the restraining force across the surface it crosses, and the heavier ratchet bodies are built for repeated tensioning under working conditions. Choose claw hooks or double J hooks for chassis and lashing ring anchorage, or a car transporter wheel strap where the restraint passes over the tyre rather than the vehicle. Check the lashing capacity marked on the label against the load being restrained — it is not the same figure as the webbing breaking strength.
