Hi, Can I assume that as this is an induction tachometer that it can be used on any make 2/4 stroke engine as long as you can get near the spark plug and not just on Stihl products? Please advise, many thanks.

Yes this can be used as a generic tachometer, it doesn't have to be Stihl machines.
