Overview:
This Tailboard Gudgeon Pin (MPN 800 1135) is a weld-on hinge fitting manufactured from mild steel with a self colour (plain steel) finish, intended for fabricators and body builders working on commercial vehicle and trailer tailboard hardware. The pin provides a fixed pivot point for tailgates and drop-sides, and is designed to be welded directly to the body or frame where a compact, durable hinge location is required. The pin measures Ø12.5 mm (approximately 0.49 in) with a pin length of 38 mm (approximately 1.50 in), giving a neat, robust bearing surface for the matching strap or eye. The rectangular weld base is 26 mm x 48 mm (approximately 1.02 in x 1.89 in) to aid alignment and load spread during installation. Supplied in self colour for straightforward welding and subsequent finishing as required on tippers, rigid trucks, plant and general-purpose trailers, agricultural balers and waste or scrap skips.
