The body is zinc die-cast with a bright chrome plated finish for durability and a clean appearance, and it is supplied with a neoprene gasket to help seal against the panel. The handle uses an 8 mm (0.31 in) square spindle, 126 mm (4.96 in) long, to drive the latch mechanism, and mounts on 43.5 mm (1.71 in) hole centres with countersunk fixings.
