Overview:
Battery/Starter Cable 1 x 25mm2 Red, 10m Roll (MPN 764 118) is a single-core automotive electrical cable supplied on a 10 metre (approx. 32 ft 10 in) reel for building or renewing heavy-duty positive feeds on 12V and 24V systems. The cable uses a red PVC insulation to help identify the positive supply in vehicle and trailer wiring. It is intended for high-current connections such as battery to starter, battery to isolator, battery to distribution points, or power supplies to accessories with substantial draw. The PVC sheath provides durable protection with good resistance to abrasion and cut-through during installation and service. Selection of conductor size should take account of total circuit length, acceptable voltage drop, operating temperature and installation conditions. As a guide, current capacity is related to acceptable voltage loss over the installed run; using a larger cross-sectional area reduces voltage drop.
