Overview:
This Tailboard Locking Bar Tab (MPN 800 1232) is a weld-on fitting for securing and locating a 20 mm diameter locking bar on tailboards and similar closures used on commercial vehicle and trailer bodies. Manufactured from mild steel in self colour (uncoated), it is intended to be welded directly to the bodywork and finished afterwards as required. The tab measures 80 mm long (3.15 in), 36 mm wide (1.42 in) and 36 mm high (1.42 in), providing a robust stop/keeper point for Ø20 mm (0.79 in) bars. It is suitable for new fabrication and repairs on tippers, rigid trucks, general haulage trailers, skips and industrial or agricultural equipment. The self colour finish allows for post-weld painting or other protective coating to match the vehicle or body specification.
