Slam Lock, 88 x 68.5 mm, Zinc Plated, No Handle, 8 mm Square Drive (MPN 800 1402) is a compact slam-action latch for doors, lockers and access panels on commercial vehicles and equipment. The body is pressed from mild steel with a zinc plated finish for general corrosion protection, and it uses a zinc die-cast tongue. Overall dimensions are 88 mm (3.46 in) length by 68.5 mm (2.70 in) width with an 18.5 mm (0.73 in) body thickness, giving a low-profile fit on vehicle bodywork and enclosures. The latch is operated via an 8 mm (0.31 in) square drive to suit a compatible handle or linkage, and is supplied as the lock unit only without a handle. Fixing is via 5.5 mm (0.22 in) diameter mounting holes.
