Overview:
U-Bolt Clamp Plate (MPN 763 131) for use with standard U-bolts on trailers, plant and general transport equipment. This is a flat metal backing plate with two fixing holes set at 80 mm (3.15 in) centre-to-centre, designed to work with the legs of a matching U-bolt to provide a firm, even clamping surface. The plate helps distribute load and reduce localised crush on chassis members, drawbars, crossmembers and brackets when tightening the U-bolt. With a 6 mm (0.24 in, approx. 1/4 in) thickness, it offers a solid bearing face suitable for routine trailer and body fitting tasks. Common uses include securing brackets, guards, conduit, lashing eyes and other hardware to box section or round tube where a U-bolt is preferred.
