Overview:
The Spring-Loaded Hinged Escutcheon, 16mm, Black Polyamide (MPN 800 1025) is a compact cover plate used to protect and tidy a 16 mm (0.63 in) access aperture on vehicle and equipment bodywork. Moulded from durable black polyamide (nylon), it is built for repeated use in fleet and site environments. A stainless-steel hinge pin and return spring ensure the lid opens smoothly and closes back over the aperture to help keep out dirt, grit and water. The body measures 41.5 mm (1.63 in) long by 51 mm (2.01 in) wide and 8.5 mm (0.33 in) thick, with a central 16 mm (0.63 in) access hole. Fixing is by countersunk screws through Ø3.5 mm (0.14 in) holes for a flush, tidy fit. Typical uses include covering lock keyways and service points on trucks, trailers, buses, generator sets, horseboxes, cabs, toolboxes, storage boxes and lockers.
