Brown Rock Salt Loose in a Tonne Bag is a bulk de-icing salt for clearing and preventing ice on roads, yards, car parks and paths. Supplied in a robust 1,000 kg bag (approx. 2,204 lb), it contains a minimum 90% sodium chloride for dependable melting performance in cold weather. The contents comply with BS3247 (British Standard for de-icing salt), giving consistent quality for highways, facilities and site maintenance. The durable outer sack with an internal polythene liner helps keep the salt dry and free-flowing. Typical users apply it with pedestrian or vehicle-mounted salt spreaders and gritters, including walk-behind broadcast units and tow-behind spreaders.
