Overview:
This chrome plated escutcheon (MPN 800 1024) is a zinc die-cast cover plate with a spring-loaded hinged lid and stainless steel hinge pin. It is designed to neatly cover and protect a 12 mm (0.47 in) access or keyhole on vehicle bodywork, enclosures and equipment panels. The compact square plate measures 27 mm x 27 mm (1.06 in x 1.06 in) with a thickness of 7 mm (0.28 in), making it suitable for tight-fitting installations on tool and storage boxes, cabs and lockers. The hinged lid opens to 90° for straightforward access when required, then returns to the closed position under spring tension. Fixing is via countersunk Ø3 mm (0.12 in) screws for a flush, secure fit. With a polished chrome finish and corrosion-resistant components, it suits trucks, trailers, buses, gensets, horseboxes and general commercial vehicle bodywork.
