Overview:
The Trailer & Caravan Hitchlock for 50mm Pressed Steel Couplings (MPN 763 615) is a visible coupling lock designed to secure trailers and caravans when parked. It locates over the coupling head and blocks access to the hitch, helping to prevent unauthorised hitching and tow-away theft. Intended for standard 50 mm (approx. 2 in) pressed-steel coupling heads found on most light trailers and many caravans, it uses a key-operated high-security brass cylinder and a simple press-to-lock action for quick fitting. A removable plastic spacer allows adjustment to suit coupling flanges of different sizes. Suitable for trade fleets, plant hire, site equipment and leisure use where a compact, everyday security measure is required. Not compatible with stabiliser hitches or some cast coupling heads. Do not tow with the hitchlock fitted. Lubricate the lock mechanism before first use and at intervals thereafter.
