Overview:
Hammerite Direct to Rust Hammered Finish Paint Red (250ml) is a solvent-based metal protective coating for iron and steel. It uses a 3-in-1 formula that acts as primer, undercoat and topcoat, so it can be applied directly to sound, prepared rust without a separate primer. The hammered effect leaves a subtle textured look with a metallic sheen while sealing out moisture to resist corrosion indoors and outdoors. Suitable for gates, railings, drainpipes, guttering, garden furniture, tool chests, machinery housings and trailers. Touch dry in about 1 hour and protects for up to 8 years when applied as directed. Typical coverage is around 5 m² per litre per coat; this 250 ml tin covers roughly 1.25 m² per coat, depending on surface and method. Apply by brush; clean tools with white spirit.
