Overview:
This pressed steel End Slam Bolt (MPN 800 1291) is a compact latch component for closing and securing doors, lids and access panels on commercial vehicles and equipment. Manufactured from mild steel and zinc plated with a clear passivated finish, it offers robust performance with corrosion protection suited to fleet and site environments. The body measures 62 mm (2.44 in) long by 57 mm (2.24 in) wide with a 17.5 mm (0.69 in) thickness. An adjustable tongue allows a take-up of 11.5-16 mm (0.45-0.63 in) to accommodate build tolerances and wear. A flat tail is provided with a matching rivet for secure attachment. The fixing size is Ø5.5 mm (0.22 in) for straightforward installation to metal or timber structures on vehicle bodies, toolboxes and enclosures.
