This felt air intake filter is a Genuine Amal/Villiers part designed for the Amal Type 391 carburettor. It sits in the intake to remove dust and debris before air enters the carb, helping to maintain consistent mixture and protect internal components on vintage machinery. Made from dense, durable felt, it provides reliable filtration while allowing steady airflow. Dimensions are approximately 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) outer diameter and 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) inner diameter, sized to suit Type 391 applications. Supplied as unused old stock, so minor cosmetic ageing from storage may be present but does not affect performance. Direct replacement for OEM No. 394/005, suitable for service work and restorations where the original felt element is missing or perished.
