Overview:
The ForgeFast Torx compatible wood screw ZY 5.0 x 40mm from Forgefix is a high-performance fixing for timber work across construction, landscaping, and machinery maintenance. Supplied in a box of 200, each steel screw has a Torx-compatible drive for positive engagement with reduced cam-out. A countersunk head with cutting ribs helps the head sit flush while minimising surface tear-out. The patented drill-and-drive thread is designed to reduce splitting and speed up installation, and the sharp point bites quickly into timber. At 40mm (1.57 inches) long and 5.0mm (0.20 inches) in diameter, this is a versatile size for framing, boarding, and fixture work. An Elementech 400 anti-corrosive, Cr6+ free coating provides durable protection with a yellow finish. A Torx-compatible bit is included.
