Overview:
This M12 High Tensile U-Bolt 55mm ID x 110mm Length, 50mm Thread, Nyloc Nuts (MPN 763 092) is a heavy-duty fastener for clamping parabolic leaf springs to axle saddles and chassis brackets on trailers and similar equipment. Manufactured from high tensile steel to handle suspension loads, it provides a secure clamp around the spring and mating bracketry. The U-bolt has a 55 mm (2.17 in) internal width and a full length of 110 mm (4.33 in), with 50 mm (1.97 in) of threaded section on each leg to give adequate take-up for plates and spacers. It is supplied with M12 nyloc flange nuts to deliver a vibration-resistant lock without separate washers. Intended for single and twin parabolic leaf spring setups on plant trailers, general duty trailers and commercial towing applications. As a guide only, an 85 Nm (62.7 lbf.ft) torque setting is suggested, subject to the specific installation and hardware used.
