Overview:
The Integral Coupling Security Lock with Keys (MPN TR478) is a compact barrel-style lock designed to secure a trailer's pressed steel coupling by immobilising the handle. Once fitted, it blocks the handle movement so the coupling cannot be opened or closed, helping to deter unauthorised hitching or unhitching during storage, on site or in transit stops. The lock installs directly into the keyhole-shaped aperture found on many pressed steel hitch heads and is operated with a simple quarter turn of the key. Supplied with two keys, it is suitable for a wide range of Maypole pressed steel couplings in both 50 mm and 60 mm variants, as well as selected heavy-duty and cast units used across plant, trailer and light commercial towing fleets.
