Overview:
Knott‐style 250 x 40 Trailer Brake Back Plate (MPN 211 069) is a bolt‐on backing plate for Knott 250 x 40 mm brake drums, used on braked trailer axles. The 250 x 40 designation refers to a 250 mm (9.84 in) drum with 40 mm (1.57 in) shoes. This back plate provides the mounting face for the brake shoes and related hardware and secures to the axle flange via four fixing holes. The central bore is 58 mm (2.28 in) and the four mounting holes are 14.5 mm (0.57 in) diameter on 71 x 71 mm (2.80 x 2.80 in) centres. Supplied complete with half shell. Intended as a service replacement where the original back plate is worn or damaged. Suitable for Ifor Williams trailers manufactured after March 2014 using the Knott 250 x 40 brake format, and other applications with the same hole pattern. Installation should be carried out by competent technicians. Supplied as a single back plate.
