The Left Hand Slam Lock with Handle (MPN 800 1093) is a pressed steel latch designed for fast, reliable slam-to-close securing on vehicle and equipment bodywork. Manufactured by Albert Jagger, it features a durable mild steel body with a zinc plated finish for protection in service, and a robust malleable iron tongue for repeated engagement. An 8 mm (5/16 in) square drive is incorporated within the mechanism. The compact case measures 88 mm (3.46 in) long by 52 mm (2.05 in) wide and 16 mm (0.63 in) thick, with an 18 mm (0.71 in) tongue. Mounting is via Ø4.5 mm (0.18 in) fixing holes. This left-hand configuration is suited to doors and access panels where the latch must engage automatically on closing.
