Overview:
This Brake Cable Compensator Kit for Single Axle Trailers (MPN 763 153) is used on braked trailers to equalise the pull from the overrun/handbrake lever across both wheel brake cables. The compensator links the main brake rod to the left and right brake cables so tension is balanced, helping to achieve consistent braking on a single axle. It is suitable for systems that use M8 detachable or Quick/Pronto fit brake cables from Knott or AL-KO. The kit is supplied with a balance bar and the necessary threaded hardware to connect to the main linkage and to each cable end. It is intended for use on general duty, plant and transport trailers where Knott or AL-KO running gear with M8 cable ends is fitted.
