Overview:
This is a pressed steel slam lock with no handle, supplied with an 8 mm (0.31 in) square drive and a brass tongue, from Albert Jagger (MPN 800 1154). Designed for secure, quick "slam-shut" closure on access doors and lockers, it suits a wide range of commercial vehicle and equipment bodywork. The body is mild steel with a zinc plated finish for durability, while the tongue is brass for smooth engagement and wear resistance. Overall body size is 81.5 mm (3.21 in) length x 60 mm (2.36 in) width x 14 mm (0.55 in) thickness. Tongue projection is 16 mm (0.63 in). Mounting is via fixing holes of 8.5 mm (0.33 in) diameter. Use this unit where a handle-less latch is preferred and a square-drive key or spindle operates the mechanism.
