Overview:
Tailboard Retaining Pin & Chain (MPN 800 1230) for securing drop-sides and tailgates on commercial vehicle bodies and equipment. Manufactured from mild steel with a zinc plated finish for corrosion resistance in everyday fleet use. The pin is 10 mm diameter (approx. 0.39 in) with overall pin dimensions around 78 mm by 71 mm (approx. 3.07 in by 2.80 in), suitable for common tailboard latch brackets. Supplied with a 190 mm chain (approx. 7.48 in) to tether the pin to the body and prevent loss during loading and tipping operations. Used on tippers, rigid trucks, general and plant trailers, agricultural balers, and skips. Compatible with Albert Jagger bracket references 3987/001 and 3987/003, or equivalent patterns used across the industry. Appropriate for new installations or as a like-for-like maintenance replacement on tailboard fastening points.
