Description
Overview:
The 7‐Pin Towbar Socket Tester (MPN 763 973) is a plug‐in diagnostic tool for checking the road‐lighting and power circuits on towing vehicles fitted with a standard 7‐pin towbar socket. Designed for 12 volt systems, it helps confirm that wiring and connections are functioning correctly after installation, repair or routine maintenance, and before coupling up to a caravan or trailer. The tester uses an integral cable of approximately 3.5 m (11.5 ft), allowing a single operator to run through the lighting functions from the driver's seat while observing the tester's indications. It is suitable for use across typical towing setups including cars, vans, 4x4s and light commercial vehicles used to pull general cargo trailers, plant trailers and caravans. As part of good practice, trailer or caravan road lights should also be inspected before every journey.
