Overview:
The Annular Buffer/Rubber Mount is a genuine Stihl vibration isolator used on selected petrol chainsaws to control movement between the engine unit and the handles. Made from durable black rubber with a central metal sleeve, it absorbs engine vibration and helps the saw run smoothly under load. This reduces hand‐arm vibration at the grips, improving comfort and protecting other components from fatigue. It is designed for Stihl models in the 1118 series, including the 028 and 038, and is a direct replacement under OEM part number 1118 790 9930. Fitted in the factory AV system, it restores correct damping performance when the original rubber has hardened, split, or compressed through age or heavy use.
