Overview:
The Towing Interface Module, 7-Channel With C2 Tell-Tale, LED Compatible (MPN 763 889) is a slimline electronic module designed to link a vehicle's road-light circuits to the road lights on a trailer, caravan or plant trailer. Housed in a compact plastic enclosure with mounting tabs, it provides seven controlled outputs for trailer lighting and includes a C2 and indicator tell‐tale output for dashboard signalling. The unit features upgraded live and earth ports to accommodate thicker cables, a 2 m (approx. 6 ft 7 in) control input cable, and a disconnect plug that allows the interface to be isolated during vehicle diagnostic checks. Processor-based operation ensures silent running, and the electronics are designed to work with ultra‐low current LED lamps as well as conventional bulbs. Each road‐light channel is protected by a thermal fuse for added resilience. The module is EC Type Approved to 2006/96/EC and provides a 7‐channel output compliant with BS AU 149A:1980 and ISO 11446, making it suitable for professional towbar wiring on cars, vans, 4x4s, light commercials and transport equipment.
